Having first set her foot on stage at the age of 6, California native Jyn Hall has performed in theatre and with local and international troupes all over the U.S. and Europe, as well as toured the Southeast with Atlanta’s oldest professional theatre company - The Academy Theatre. Favourite theatre roles have included: Alice in A…My Name is Alice, Hermia in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Joey in the American stage debut of Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner? Since 2008, Jyn has been performing on the main stage with Sketchworks, Atlanta’s only continuously running sketch comedy troupe.
Besides theatre, Jyn has acted in over 50 commercials and industrials, as well as numerous films and videos - playing a wide range of roles. One of Jyn’s favourite projects is a DVD for children called “Baku the Travel Bug.” Jyn plays the lead, Aunt Sydney, a quirky, well-traveled character, who educates (along with a puppet named Baku) the neighbor children about various countries and cultures. “Baku” won an illustrious Parent’s Choice Approval Award for spring 2005. The DVD has been reviewed on CBS and NBC news, as well as numerous magazines, including Good Housekeeping, Parent & Child, Grand, and Parenting, the latter naming “Baku” one of the best DVDs of 2005. In April 2006, Jyn was on Fox 5’s “Good Day Atlanta” morning show, discussing “Baku.” Jyn was awarded the “Best Acting” Award from Art Within’s 72-hour Faith in Film Festival for the lead role of Dr. Murray in the Sci-Fi short “The Treatment.”

Over the past couple years, Jyn has been casting, producing, and writing. She enjoyed several years of teaching drama and directing various plays for The Master’s Academy of Fine Arts and Christian Youth Theatre, where she served for a year on CYT’s Board of Directors and Advisory Committee.
When she is not acting, Jyn enjoys scuba diving, traveling, swimming, hiking, white water rafting, reading, watching movies/plays, horse back riding, laughing, and spending time with her wonderful husband, Steve Keck.
